These lessons are my way of sharing an approach & philosophy to playing that I've been fortunate enough to learn during my years as a plank spanker and shaped by some incredible mentors such as my dear friend, the incredibly talented, Elliott Randall, my amazing teachers at the Hartford Conservatory of Music and the dozens of players I've shared the stage with in the smoke-filled, beer soaked clubs in NYC. Not to mention the moments shared in the studio and stage with some of the greatest players in rock n roll. It's about how to get BEYOND the chops and techniques. Part musical appreciation deep dive into the giants of rhythm guitar playing (but not ignoring what can be learned from other great instrumentalists), part understanding how listening is as, if not more, important than playing, why getting the beat into your body is must learn technique and how to become the generous linchpin in the band. I want to teach you how to be “in the moment,” find your groove, forget everything you've learned to let your heart and your “voice” shine through the music. And ultimately how to have fun and share the pure joy to be found in playing music.

Cancelation Policy

Please understand that booking a lesson and my securing that time slot for you is a commitment we both need to honor. This is why I ask for payment at the time of booking. Yes, life happens and I will work with you to reschedule if given fair warning 48 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time. You may reschedule once without incurring any cost. Please note - There are no refunds for cancelling a booked lesson at any time, so please, make sure you can commit before booking. In the event that I cannot make the scheduled time – as life happens to us all – I will work with you to find an acceptable time slot for us to reschedule your lesson. Should we find it impossible to reschedule at a mutually available time, refunds will be processed through the payment provider used when payment was made. To cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least 48 hours in advance.
